Sporting an orange version of the 1980s "Motte-Andreu" style, this station has a rather intriguing layout. Because of Line 10's history (this section used to be part of Line 8), La Motte-Piquet - Grenelle has two underground stations for two lines. One large tunnel housing an island platform with two tracks, and two single-platform tunnels, one on top of the other. However, neither Line 10 nor Line 8 stop in the same place! In fact, the island platform hosts Line 10 Eastbound & Line 8 Eastbound, while the two single platforms host Line 10 Westbound on top and Line 8 Southbound below.
